В этот день японские семьи, в которых девочки есть, выставляют напоказ сложную конструкцию в форме лестницы с кучей традиционных куколок (они закупаются в феврале и стоят денег) и молятся о здоровье и счастье для девочек. Да и сами виновницы торжества надевают нарядные кимоно и ведут себя как очень хорошие девочки.
