Прокуратура Грузии установила новые обстоятельства на основании показаний обвиняемого в покушении Давида (Дарчо) Хечуашвили. 20 сентября МВД сообщило о его задержании при попытке незаконного пересечения границы со стороны Турции.
Согласно показаниям, летом 2016 года в Украине Хечуашвили встречался с Шотой (Мевлудом) Чичиашвили. Тот рассказал, что недавно виделся с Саакашвили и бывшим замглавы МВД Грузии Гией Лорткипанидзе.
Тогда экс-президент подозревал Таргамадзе в сотрудничестве с «Грузинской мечтой» и поручил криминальному авторитету Чичиашвили следить за ним.
4 октября 2016 года машину Гиви Таргамадзе подорвали за четыре дня до парламентских выборов. В момент взрыва в машине находились Таргамадзе и его водитель, они получили легкие повреждения.

So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform.
