С 1 января 2025 года Институт медицинского образования будет переименован в Медицинский институт (МИ). Такое решение принял Учёный совет НовГУ «с учётом основных направлений деятельности и реализации образовательных программ».
До этого ИНПО (Институт непрерывного педагогического образования) переименовали в Педагогический институт (ПИ).
