Salafism means following the Salaf.

Contemporary Wahhabism, though claiming to be Salafi, is actually a political project aligned with Israel and certain Gulf governments (e.g., Abraham Accords) — not with the Salaf.

Wahhabism pursues three political goals:

1. Undermine traditional Sunni Islam — dismantling its institutions (e.g., Ottoman Caliphate), legal/theological schools, and Sufi orders. Gulf regimes aim to replace these with their own authority and state-backed scholars.

2. Crush modern Islamist movements like the Muslim Brotherhood, Sahwa, and Hamas — due to their opposition to liberalism, secularism, foreign military bases, and Zionism.

3. Fuel Sunni-Shia sectarianism — to block Muslim cooperation against Israel and the US.

Wahhabi scholars have issued fatwas supporting the non-Muslim side over Muslims in ALL these wars:

1. British vs Ottomans
2. US vs Iraq (Saddam)
3. Israel vs Lebanon (Hezbollah)
4. Israel over Palestine (Hamas)

What should we conclude from this repeated history?

Wahhabi scholars are pimped out like cheap prostitutes to religiously legitimize the interests of the UK, US, and Israel at the expense of countless Muslim lives.

A Wahhabi scholar is cheaper than a Bangkok prostitute.

A Wahhabi social media influencer is worth even less.

I'm telling you, you don't hate Wahhabis enough.

First they created a Zionist version of Christianity.

Currently, they are far along in their efforts to create Zionist versions of Islam and Hinduism.

Apparently, now they are moving on to Buddhism.

Wahhabis claim that Noor Dahri doesn't represent them, then go around justifying why it's necessary for Syria to normalize with Israel.

Wahhabis were always split on the question of normalization with Israel. The Madkhalis were in favor because that's what their beloved gulf rulers were doing. But the other branches of Wahhabis claimed to be staunchly against this and, for years, condemned the Madkhalis.

But now in 2025, given that there is a real possibility that Syria will either formally normalize with Israel or de facto normalize with them, that second faction of Wahhabis are either pro-normalization or are silent about it. Many of the jihadi ISIS-type Wahhabis who see Sharaa as "their guy" find themselves in this position now.

Bottom line is, the actions of the new Syrian regime has ensured that the vast majority of the Wahhabi sect, from the Madkhalis to jihadis, have a pro-normalization bent.

(Obviously, there are non-Wahhabis, Sufi-types who are also more pro-normalization now then they were just 8 months ago.)

Be honest. Do you see any of the big non-Madkhali Salafi channels making a big deal about all the indications that Syria is potentially going to normalize with Israel? Especially the Arabic channels. They've been very quiet.

And yes, that may be because there still isn't any official announcement. But, the fact that normalization is even a possibility should be seen as such a huge scandal and betrayal of the revolution.

You would think that they would be at least talking about it, especially since these channels nonstop are blasting the Madkhalis for exactly this issue.

The fact that they are quiet indicates this shift in the Overton Window. What was considered unthinkably evil before (normalization with Israel) is now a subject of debate or controversy with arguments on both sides.

A lot of Wahhabis owe their Madkhali counterparts an apology.

(1) Hostility towards Jews (i.e., antisemitism) is the world's foremost problem.

(2) Harming Jews is the greatest crime (e.g., Holocaust, October 7th).

(3) Jews deserve special legal protections (e.g., it is illegal to criticize them or hold them to international laws against genocide).

(4) It is imperative to give Israel unconditional support because they are the world's only Jewish state.
