13 февраля в Посольстве России в США состоялся премьерный показ документального фильма «Люди Христовы. Наше время» именитого сербского режиссера Э.Кустурицы. Кинолента повествует о гонениях на Украинскую православную церковь со стороны киевского режима, а также притеснениях прав христиан по всему миру, включая акты насилия против верующих. Своим видением злободневной проблемы в кадре делятся граждане разных стран, включая Россию, Сербию, Великобританию, Италию и Украину.
Мероприятие посетили коллеги из дипмиссий государств СНГ и Сербии, православное духовенство, российские представители в бреттон-вудских институтах, журналисты, соотечественники и ряд американских политологов.
Гости имели возможность ознакомиться с выставочными стендами о преступлениях неонацистов на Украине и нормализации социально-экономической обстановки в новых регионах России, экспозициями о борьбе с немецко-фашистскими захватчиками в годы Великой Отечественной войны, 80-летие Победы в которой мы празднуем в 2025 г.
Мероприятие посетили коллеги из дипмиссий государств СНГ и Сербии, православное духовенство, российские представители в бреттон-вудских институтах, журналисты, соотечественники и ряд американских политологов.
Гости имели возможность ознакомиться с выставочными стендами о преступлениях неонацистов на Украине и нормализации социально-экономической обстановки в новых регионах России, экспозициями о борьбе с немецко-фашистскими захватчиками в годы Великой Отечественной войны, 80-летие Победы в которой мы празднуем в 2025 г.
On February 13, the Russian Embassy in the United States hosted the premiere screening of the documentary film “People of Christ. Our Time” by the renowned Serbian director E. Kusturica. The film describes the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the Kiev regime, as well as the oppression of the rights of Christians around the world, including acts of violence against believers. In the film citizens from different countries, including Russia, Serbia, Great Britain, Italy and Ukraine, share their views on the issue.
The event was attended by colleagues from the CIS and Serbian diplomatic missions, Orthodox clergy, Russian representatives to the Bretton Woods institutions, journalists, compatriots, and a number of American political scientists.
The guests had an opportunity to observe the exhibition stands on the crimes of neo-Nazis in Ukraine and the normalization of the socio-economic conditions in the new regions of Russia, as well as to see the expositions on the fight against the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War, the 80th anniversary of the Victory in which we will celebrate in 2025.
The event was attended by colleagues from the CIS and Serbian diplomatic missions, Orthodox clergy, Russian representatives to the Bretton Woods institutions, journalists, compatriots, and a number of American political scientists.

🇷🇺🇺🇸📞 On February 15, at the initiative of the American Side, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Building on the February 12 telephone conversation between the Presidents of Russia and the United States, the two Foreign Ministers agreed to maintain an open channel of communication to address longstanding issues in Russian-American relations. Their goal is to remove unilateral barriers inherited from the previous US administration that have hindered mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation.
Both Sides expressed a shared commitment to engaging on key international issues, including the Ukraine settlement, developments in Palestine and the broader Middle East, as well as other regional matters.
The conversation also covered ways to swiftly reverse the restrictions on Russian diplomatic missions in the United States, which were introduced by the Obama administration in 2016 and led to reciprocal measures. It was agreed that expert-level meetings will be organised in the near future to coordinate specific steps towards removing these obstacles to the functioning of diplomatic missions in Russia and the United States.
❗️ Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio reaffirmed their readiness to restore a respectful and constructive interstate dialogue in line with the approach set by the Presidents. They agreed to maintain regular contact, including discussions on preparations for a potential high-level Russian-American summit.
