Как сообщает РБК, два швейцарских юриста Андрес Баумгартнер и Фабио Либеро Делько попали под американские санкции.
Причина - они признаны крупными управляющими российскими активами и важными посредники в бизнесе и движении денежных средств подсанкционных россиян в Швейцарии и Лихтенштейне. Об этом говорится в релизе Минфина США.
Это первый случай включения швейцарских юристов под ограничения США после введения санкций.
По сведениям Bloomberg, США последние несколько месяцев безуспешно добивались от Швейцарии закрытия лазейки, позволяющей легко создавать подставные компании для обхода санкций.
Bloomberg сообщает, что в Швейцарии зарегистрировано примерно 33 тыс. подставных фирм — по одной на каждые 37 граждан только в Женеве.

Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised.
