Совет Федерации 20 ноября досрочно прекратил полномочия сенатора от Законодательного собрания Ростовской области Ирины Рукавишниковой.
Спикер Совфеда Валентина Матвиенко поблагодарила Рукавишникову за работу и вручила ей почетную грамоту верхней палаты: «Она была очень активным, инициативным сенатором. Проводила большую работу по совершенствованию законодательства. Ирина Валерьевна, вам большое спасибо!» — заявила Матвиенко.
Рукавишникова работала сенатором с сентября 2018 года.
Теперь, судя по всему, ей на смену придет экс-губернатор Василий Голубев.
