Тебе бы строить дом, сажать деревья,
Жену любить, воспитывать детей
И бабушкины сказки и поверья
Рассказывать им на ночь бы теперь.

В бескрайнем поле встать, раскинув руки,
Вдохнув всей грудью свежесть и покой.
Сейчас бы слушать столь родные звуки -
Листвы ли шелест иль морской прибой.

Откликнулся ты сразу, храбрый воин,
На зов любимой Родины святой.
Ты с честью доказал, что ты достоин,
Защитник мой и истинный герой.

А я здесь сохраню для нас с тобою
Всё то, чем ты, мой милый, дорожишь.
Согреть бы и обнять тебя душою,
Но знаю, как к Победе ты спешишь.
