Знаменитый парижский маршан Жерар Леви открыл свою галерею в 1966-м, а ее дизайн заказал Ле Корбюзье. Со временем он стал одним из главных экспертов по азиатскому искусству и винтажной фотографии, огромную группу которой продал в том числе в Музей Гетти.
Сам же Леви коллекционировал то, что в те годы не было популярным и стоило почти гроши – произведения символистов и художников ар-нуво. В его собрании – Альфонс Муха, Карлос Швабе, Люсьен Леви-Дюрмэ, Эдгар Максанс и многие другие.
Галерея работает и сегодня, после смерти дилера в 2016-м, и управляется его дочерью. Сегодня она решилась расстаться и с частью семейной коллекции – ее выставят на аукционе Artcurial 11 февраля 2025 года.
