Neben der Luft- und Wasserqualität wurden dabei die Zufriedenheit mit der Abfallentsorgung, der Prozentsatz an Grünflächen sowie der sogenannte Environmental-Performance-Index (EPI) des Wassers berücksichtigt, der sich aus mehreren ökologischen Faktoren zusammensetzt.
