Невзирая на перехват ракетой Р-74М (вероятно, вынужденный) опытного прототипа тяжелого разведывательно-ударного БПЛА С-70 "Охотник-Б" над Константиновкой, обнадеживающей информацией стало обнаружение в массиве обломков БПЛА головного обтекателя универсального межвидового планирующего боеприпаса (УМПБ) Д-30СН, что указывает на отработку пилотом Су-57 в составе разведывательно-ударного тандема Су-57 - С-70Б управление "Охотником-Б" по защищенному сетецентрическому каналу, используемому в комплексе связи С-111-Н.

Д-30СН планировалось запустить с внутрефюзеляжного узла подвески С-70Б по целеуказанию Су-57. Таким образом, отрабатывается применение С-70Б в качестве "беспилотного ведомого" в операциях "воздух-поверхность". Также известно о способности выдачи пилотом Су-57 в систему управления вооружением БПЛА С-70Б по асинхронной линии обмена данными и файлов сопровождения воздушных целей, что обеспечит возможность ведения дальних воздушных боев с авиацией противника без захода в радиус действия УРВБ AIM-120D AMRAAM.
