Руины монастыря Ратнагири тоже весьма живописны. Основные постройки там созданы с VII по X века, что добавляет месту атмосферности.

Ратнагири переводится как «холм драгоценностей», что связано, видимо, не с какими-то драгоценными камнями или металами, как можно подумать. Скорее, это потому что в Ратнагири самое большое в Индии количество малых ступочек (видимо, вотивных). Их там нашли около семи сотен (!!!). Ну и остальные руины там миленькие. И музейчик ничего. Без обезьян, правда, всё не то (так что покажу себя).
