Та чи ж не кращими були ті дні без дров, і без електирики, й без хліба, коли ввижались марева ясні, аніж тепер, коли душа в нас ніби тріпоче й б’ється на безводнім дні! Так піймана гачком нехитрим риба на мотузку, протягнутім між жабр, танцює те, що зветься danse macabre.
