Меня всегда забавляло, насколько непохоже изображаются звуки, которые издают животные, в разных языках. Самым известным, как мне кажется, примером служит звук свиньи. В русском это «хрю-хрю», в английском «ойньк-ойньк», но если пойти дальше, то мы обнаружим «груа-груа» во французском и «неф-неф» на шведском.
А вот пример с лягушками я встретила впервые. Услышала «гак-гак» на арабском. Оказалось это «ква-ква». Стало любопытно поискать эквиваленты в других языках. Вот что нашла:
Венгерский: «бре-ке-ке» Японский: «кэро-кэро» Тайский: «уп-уп» Польский: «кум-кум» Корейский: «ге-гул» Алжирский диалект арабского: «гар-гар» (про другие диалекты пока не узнавала, но есть подозрения, что там информации наберётся на целую научную статью).
Почему так происходит? А просто на то, как мы слышим какой-то звук, напрямую влияет язык, который мы считаем родным. То есть мы привыкли к определенной фонетике и каждый день слышим звуки, характерные для нашего языка. А наши соседи по планете слышат звуки своего языка. В итоге один и тот же звук мы воспринимаем и воспроизводим по-разному. Даже если этот звук исходит от лягушки. #языки #перевод

Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. "Your messages about the movement of the enemy through the official chatbot … bring new trophies every day," the government agency tweeted.
