Наблюдение за тем, как менялась Москва, часто приносит такие картины. Кажется, что ничего общего у верхнего и нижнего снимков быть не может. Но нет. Обе фотографии сделаны с одного места. Быть может есть погрешность в два-три метра, но она ничего не решает. Это действительно один и тот же уголок в Москве с разницей даже не в 100 лет, а всего лишь в 80 годков.
Такой была наша Москва, таким было наше Зарядье. Так оно выглядело за Китайгородской стеной. Обычный жилой небогатый дворик.

Когда-то здесь был Мокринский переулок и дворы за церковью Зачатия Святой Анны (она видна на нижнем снимке слева). Церковь ещё назвали «в Углу», поскольку это был крайний угол Зарядья, который сейчас очерчивают Москворецкая набережная и Никитский (ныне Китайгородский) проезд.
