В рубрике «Не поеду, но хотя бы помечтаю» у нас сегодня музей Гершелей в Бате.

Во-первых, сам город Бат, находящийся в юго-западной части Англии, стоит того, чтобы его посетить. Там есть римские термы, разное красивое средневековое и атмосфера курорта из английских романов.

Но наша цель сегодня – музей Гершелей. Там можно посмотреть, как в конце XVIII века жила простая семья среднего класса. Еще там есть копия телескопа, подобного тому, с помощью которого Уильям Гершель открыл Уран и реплика устройства для полировки линз.

Кстати, там же хранятся личные вещи Каролины, например её платье и дневник, из которого Лена брала материалы для подкаста.
