Добровольцев в народное ополчение набирает центр военно-патриотического воспитания Курской области «Патриот». На первом этапе дружинникам предлагают пройти специальную военную подготовку на базе ЧВК «Вагнер» или на местном полигоне. Отправку добровольцев организуют каждую неделю.
