Увеличат и площадь досмотра пассажиров на входе в здание и площадь ожидания перед досмотром. Из зала ожидания вылета внутренних воздушных линий предусмотрено шесть выходов на посадку. При проектировании нового аэровокзала учтена высокая сейсмическая активность островного региона.
