Недавно в киотосском храме Рюган-дзи прошел традиционный фестиваль Тё:Дзю:я (超十夜祭 ). Это буддийский обряд, который проводится в течение 10 дней и ночей, обычно в ноябре, в честь Будды Амиды (阿弥陀仏, Амитабха). Традиция возникла в период Хэйан (794–1185) и получила распространение среди последователей буддизма Дзёдо-сю (Чистой Земли), но в последни годы храмы придумывают новые способы привлечения последователей буддизма, так как их количество все стремительнее сокращается.
