Записка на имя Вячеслава Молотова от Наркома внешней торговли А. Микояна и председателя Госплана Н. Кузнецова о некоторых деталях расчета за сделанные в США заказы после окончания Лендлиза в 1945 г. Микоян и Кузнецов сообщают, что по программе Лендлиза СССР должен был получить 20 мощных буксиров на 1200 лошадиных сил каждый, не строившихся в СССР. К моменту окончания войны и остановки Лендлиза 10 таких буксиров были построены. Американцы почему-то отказались выдавать отдельный кредит на покупку буксиров (хотя такая возможность для расчетов по товарам, изготовленных в рамках Лендлиза была предусмотрена) и потребовали расчитываться наличными по 800 000 долл. за буксир. В записке Молотову сообщается при этом, что советские агенты нашли аналогичные буксиры в 4 раза дешевле за 200 тыс. долл. и предложили закупить такой аналог. Сложно сказать, объяснялась ли повышенная цена буксиров выполнением заказов по государственной программе.

Though all three indexes opened in the green, stocks took a turn after a new report showed U.S. consumer sentiment deteriorated more than expected in early March as consumers' inflation expectations soared to the highest since 1981.
