О сложении полномочий сенатора официально объявила на заседании Совета Федерации 20 ноября 2024 года.
Место Рукавишниковой в Совете Федерации займет экс-губернатор Ростовской области Василий Голубев.
В верхней палате парламента Рукавишникова была зампредом комитета по конституционному законодательству. В последнее время она занималась темой регулирования искусственного интеллекта.
