I tried emailing the email address but have yet to get a response. Since I live in Northwestern Pennsylvania it seems to be the closest branch. I was looking to see if there were any IWW organized shops nearby. Currently looking for a new job.

Musk Raid at DOL tomorrow

URGENT: Elon and his DOGE minions are set to raid the DOL tomorrow at 4pm ET. If he is successful it will functionally eliminate workers' rights in America. A protest is scheduled for 3 pm ET (see link).

Raleigh/Durham/Triangle

I wore my IWW hoodie yesterday at the 50501 protest and had a guy come up to me and ask me about wobblies in the area. I had to tell him that there weren't any branches that I was aware of. I know Durham had one at one point.

There has to be more than 2 of us. in the Triangle. I don't even care about starting an official branch necessarily. This is never going to be a huge area for wobs until elon turns all the yuppies into slave workers but it would be nice to have an affinitiy group or something

Seeking Advice - IWW Member recently let go.

Hello everyone, IWW member here. Today I was laid-off/furloughed/let go from my job in graphic design for a private manufacturer. I am, more or less, slowly panicking about my livelihood and am unsure if the IWW is able to help in any way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Solidarity forever, thank you for your time.

Good morning, kids and comrades! It’s a great day for baseball, let’s play two!!!

One of the concerns i have about the marxist-leninist supporters i see is a lot of us seem to think the movement is about ourselves. Our feelings and perceptions and the need to hen-peck other members thoughts and actions. In fact, it seems to be the only contribution these few are able to make is to be keyboard warriors, but id question the positive tangibility of even that.

For those that don’t agree with me, consider this; the world is on fire right now, and now its bat swinging time, not “am i being offended” time. If you’re disabled and you can’t fight with your fists that’s ok. You still have your place and your worth in the movement. But we need fighters, not hand-wringers right now.

If you wanna downvote me go ahead. I don’t care, because it’s not about me. It’s about helping the workers. The workers don’t need debate, they need action.

Newly-appointed equalities officer here

(UK-based) I've just been appointed equalities officer for my branch but this has apparently been a somewhat underdeveloped position in the past and as such there isn't really much info on what the role involves.

Can anyone who is familiar with the role in their own branch share any tips or guidance on what i should be aiming to do?
