ФСБ задержала двух человек, подозреваемых в подготовке теракта против митрополита Тихона (Георгия Шевкунова). Осуществить его они планировали в Сретенском монастыре в Москве.
Задержанными оказались помощник митрополита Денис Попович и клирик храма Воскресения Христова в Сокольниках Никита Иванкович. Попович - гражданин Украины. Оба рассказали, что были завербованы ГУР и получили задание под угрозой убийства родственников совершить покушение против священнослужителя.
После совершения теракта Попович и Иванкович планировали покинуть Россию по поддельным документам.
