9 февраля 1940 родился Джон Кутзее, один из моих любимых писателей. Все его книги всегда производят на меня неизгладимое впечатление: "В ожидании варваров", "Осень в Петербурге", "Бесчестье". Рекомендую с осторожностью: тяжелые в психологическом плане книги.

9 февраля 1881 в Санкт-Петербурге скончался Федор Достоевский.

On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels. Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. For tech stocks, “the main thing is yields,” Essaye said.
