Ровно 82 года назад - 18 января 1943-го - в результате наступательной операции советских войск под названием "Искра" вражеское кольцо, стиснувшее город, было разорвано. По традиции в Петербурге и Ленинградской области в этот день проходят мемориальные церемонии, тематические акции, выставки, концерты и спектакли.
