7 февраля в МБОУ "ООШ с. Энмелен" в рамках Дня Российской науки состоялось мероприятие для обучающихся 5-9 классов, посвященное 205-летию открытия последнего материка Антарктиды русскими мореплавателями Беллинсгаузен Фаддеем Фаддеевичем и Лазаревым Михаилом Петровичем.
Детям был представлен документальный фильм об истории открытия, изучения и развития материка.
Ребята участвовали в обсуждении исторических событий открытия Антарктиды, выдвигали свои гипотезы о причинах образования вулканов и озёр (пресных и солёных) на территории материка. Обсуждали вопросы экологического состояния Антарктиды.
