علم یک محصول اجتماعیه چون توسط آدم‌ها ایجاد میشه. ارزش آثار علمی، در بلند مدت، با گذر زمان و پشت سر گذاشتن آزمون‌های مختلف مشخص میشه. هیلبرت در جایی میگه گالیله احمق نبود که خودش رو به خاطر برملا شدن یک حقیقت علمی به کشتن بده چون علم، بر خلاف دین، نیازی به شهادت نداره و خورشید پشت ابر باقی نمی‌مونه. اما این برملا شدن چه شکلی انجام میشه؟! چه قدم‌هایی برداشته میشه تا یک حقیقت علمی جایگاه خودش رو بالاخره پیدا کنه؟!

You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? Messages are not fully encrypted by default. That means the company could, in theory, access the content of the messages, or be forced to hand over the data at the request of a government. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike.
