В забеге приняли участие самые спортивные и активные жители Тамбова, Мичуринска, Котовска и Рассказова. В областном центре спортивные активисты собрались на лыжном стадионе «В парке «Дружба».
Все желающие могли пробежать или пройти дистанцию на выбор: 5 км или 2025 м, записав при этом свое символическое обещание на специальном номере, который прикрепили к одежде перед стартом. Обещание дается самому себе и в течение года его нужно исполнить.
Главная идея забега — получить хорошие эмоции и заряд мотивации на новый год, поэтому скорость и время преодоления дистанции в этом забеге не имеют значения.
