Псковским поисковикам удалось разыскать родственников бойца, погибшего в годы Великой Отечественной войны. Во время поисковых работ в Невельском районе в деревне Новохованск они подняли останки солдата. При нем была медаль «За отвагу». Она номерная, поэтому через архив Минобороны удалось установить все данные и отыскать родственников Чернышенко Степана Платоновича. Детей у него не осталось, но был родной брат, так что теперь поисковики ищут близких по линии племянников и племянниц Героя. А в сентябре активисты поискового объединения «Псковский рубеж» подняли останки еще одного бойца, награжденного медалью «За отвагу» - ждут результатов по имени солдата, месту рождения, а позже также приступят к поиску родственников, чтобы они смогли почтить память своего Героя.
