Сегодня беларуское правозащитное сообщество признало политзаключенной на Брестчине: ▪️Дмитриева Елена Григорьевна (СИЗО-7) — задержана по ст.342 УК РБ по "хороводному делу", когда возвращалась из Польши в Брест. На паспортном контроле пограничники заинтересовались тем, что женщина родилась в Украине. После ареста Елену осудили на 15 суток по ч.2 ст.19.11 КоАП из-за двух репостов в Телеграм, а потом поместили в СИЗО до суда.
Также политзаключенными в стране признаны: ▪️Граховский Кирилл (ИК-3) ▪️Лицкевич Александр (Тюрьма в Могилеве) ▪️Мартинович Андрей (Тюрьма в Жодино) ▪️Машковский Владимир (ИК-1) ▪️Якимович Александр (ИК-1)

The gold standard of encryption, known as end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and person who receives the message are able to see it, is available on Telegram only when the Secret Chat function is enabled. Voice and video calls are also completely encrypted. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. If you initiate a Secret Chat, however, then these communications are end-to-end encrypted and are tied to the device you are using. That means it’s less convenient to access them across multiple platforms, but you are at far less risk of snooping. Back in the day, Secret Chats received some praise from the EFF, but the fact that its standard system isn’t as secure earned it some criticism. If you’re looking for something that is considered more reliable by privacy advocates, then Signal is the EFF’s preferred platform, although that too is not without some caveats. Ukrainian forces successfully attacked Russian vehicles in the capital city of Kyiv thanks to a public tip made through the encrypted messaging app Telegram, Ukraine's top law-enforcement agency said on Tuesday.
