«Народ ху - это общий термин, используемый со времен династий Хань и Тан для обозначения жителей обширной территории к западу от Синьцзяна... У этих людей обычно глубокие глаза, высокие носы, бакенбарды и бороды, и они имеют очевидные индоевропейские черты…».
