Нас прозвали - бродяги войны,
боевыми нас кличут бомжами.
Говорят, мы - России сыны,
добавляя, что Бог рядом с нами.

Если так, значит дышим не зря,
не напрасно как свечи сгораем.
И кровит не напрасно заря
на нуле*, между адом и раем.

Иссыхая от жажды и ран,
и от холода силы теряя,
мы со смертью идём на таран,
наперёд результат встречи зная.

Мы бродяжим за веру и честь,
мы бомжуем за память и совесть.
И пока русский бог - Правда, есть,
не закончится русская повесть.

В этой повести вечной страны
мы, простые солдаты Отчизны,
крест тяжёлый, свинцовый войны
пронесём ради мира и жизни.

Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram. There was another possible development: Reuters also reported that Ukraine said that Belarus could soon join the invasion of Ukraine. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine.
