می‌کنند که با نام «سندرم ترس از روپوش سفید» شناخته می‌شود و باعث افزایش فشار خون در حین معاینات پزشکی می‌شود،گاهی این پدیده ریشه در عدم شناخت نسبت به بیمارستان و فرآیندهای درمانی از دوران کودکی دارد.
در کودکان این پدیده به طور برجسته‌تری نمایان می‌شود و به دلیل نبود دانش صحیح از اقدامات درمانی،ترس و اضطراب به عنوان جزئی جدایی ناپذیر در فرآیند درمان، مطرح می‌شود.
