لا ألتقي بكِ بقدر ما ألتقي بي! كأنّكِ أنا، وحين تغيبين عني لا يبقى منّي إلا هذا الجسدُ الذي يحسبه النّاسُ أنا! وأُمسِكُ يدكِ، فأشعرُ أنّي أُصافحُ روحي، مُذ عرفتُكِ وأنا أتحسسني في يدكِ، هذه القطعة الصغيرة من اللّحم الخارج منها خمسة أصابع وطن، وطنٌ كبير يصلحُ لإقامة دولة أكبر من هذا الذي نتقاتلُ عليه، وطني أنا وعاصمته أنتِ! وأنظرُ في عينيكِ . . ويصبحُ الأسود سيّد الألوان، كل أسود هو لون حداد إلا الأسود في عينيكِ عرسي أنا، أهدأُ حين أنظرُ في عينيكِ، أهدأ كطفلٍ كان يبكي غياب أُمّه فضمّته! لم أعد ذاك الشّرسُ الذي كنته البارحة وأنا أُقاتل، كنتُ على استعداد تام أن أموت أما الآن فأنا أريدُ أن أعيشكِ! وهذا الكُحلُ في عينيكِ يُعزّيني، ثمّة شيء آخر في هذا الكون مثلي، قريبٌ من عينيكِ، يتمنى أن يدخل إليهما ولا يستطيع! أزيحُ لكِ كُرسيًّر لتجلسي، وأجلسُ قبالتكِ، يضيعُ منّي كل الكلام الذي جهّزته لأقوله لكِ عندما نلتقي، أُصبحُ صحراء من سُكوت ويُخيّم عليّ الصّمت، عندما تحضرُ عيناكِ تذهبُ لغتي! تسكتُ أصواتُ المدافعِ، ويخرسُ الرّصاص.

Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Oh no. There’s a certain degree of myth-making around what exactly went on, so take everything that follows lightly. Telegram was originally launched as a side project by the Durov brothers, with Nikolai handling the coding and Pavel as CEO, while both were at VK.
