При этом причиной указывается, что он якобы шпионил в пользу России. Хотя нетрудно понять, что его арестовали за причастность к канонической УПЦ и из-за того, что в 2009-2018 годах он жил в России. А потом переехал в Харьков. Сам Логинов родился в Мелитополе.

"There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. At this point, however, Durov had already been working on Telegram with his brother, and further planned a mobile-first social network with an explicit focus on anti-censorship. Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup.
