200 лет назад произошло самое катастрофическое наводнение в истории Петербурга. 19 ноября 1824 года вода поднялась более чем на 4 метра.

Наводнения – часть петербургского мифа и образа Северной Венеции. Город пережил более 320 наводнений, три из которых были катастрофическими – с подъёмом воды более трёх метров.

Пётр Первый мечтал найти защиту городу от наводнений. Наш Президент Владимир Путин завершил дело Петра Великого и защитил город от угрозы затопления. Окончание строительства комплекса защитных сооружений стало одним из важнейших решений.

О наводнениях теперь напоминают лишь произведения искусства. Живописные работы, рисунки и фотографии на выставке позволят прикоснуться к истории.
