Посол России в Израиле Анатолий Викторов приветствовал начало реализации соглашения о прекращении огня между Израилем и палестинской террористической организацией ХАМАС.
На первом этапе были освобождены три заложницы - Роми Гонен, Эмили Дамари и Дорон Штейнбрехер. Израиль в ответ выпустил из тюрем 90 осужденных террористов. Викторов заявил, что приветствует возвращение израильтянок домой и желает им скорейшего восстановления здоровья и возвращения к полноценной жизни.
«Надеемся, что в ближайшее время домой сможет благополучно вернуться и наш соотечественник Александр Труфанов. Рассчитываем на учёт и других наших обращений гуманитарного характера, ранее переданных палестинской стороне», - сказал посол.
