Last Update:
Meet the Deputy Commander of the Military Unit for Artillery of the 33rd Assault Battalion. Call sign – Raketa. Before the war, he was a professional footballer. He joined the AFU as a voluntary fighter when the occupiers entered North Saltivka, unable to tolerate it.
"Defending my homeland—there was no other path for me," Raketa recalls.
He first served in the 82nd Air AB and is now the Deputy Commander for Artillery of the 33rd AB. He has fought on all fronts: Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and now Kurakhove. With the 33rd AB, he took part in the Kursk Operation.
His goal is to end the war with Ukraine’s victory and return to his native Kharkiv.
What he values most about his work is, as he says, "eliminating the invaders." "I get incredible emotions from it—it’s adrenaline, a thrill to see them blown to pieces. I feel no fatigue—only forward, only victory," shares Raketa.
His motto: "Let the invaders burn in hell! Victory is near."
Thank you for your service, Raketa! 🫡 May God protect you!
