Самка возрастом около годика в высоту достигала 120 см, длина тела — около 2 м, вес — почти 180 килограммов. По оценкам ученых, находке около 50 тысяч лет.
К сожалению, мамонтенок вытаял неравномерно, а потому фрагментировался — передняя часть упала на дно впадины, а заднюю доставали уже из мерзлоты. На фотографиях пока можно понаблюдать только за передней частью мамонтенка.
