Рамзан Кадыров в очередной заявил об окончательной победе над терроризмом в Чеченской Республике. На это раз силовики ликвидировали диверсионно-террористическую группу, лидером которой был маститый боевик Аслан Бютукаев. КТО, при которой были нейтрализованы шесть террористов, была проведена неподалеку от н.п. Катар-юрт. Среди опознанных боевиков, кроме Бютукаева, оказались Иса Базуркаев, Вахит Даршаев и Шамхан Саралиев Большинство из них уже несколько лет находились в розыске.

Сам же Бютукаев стал известен еще в 2010 году и позднее принимал участие в организации теракта в аэропорту Домодедово в 2011 году и нападении на дом Печати в Грозном в 2014 году. По словам Кадырова, он лично участвовал в разработке операции по уничтожению бандформирования.
