- وی جانورشناس، پژوهشگر، روزنامه‌نگار و مؤسس انجمن درنای سیبری بود. تلاش‌های گسترده و مستمر الن ووسالو از او چهره‌ای شناخته شده و اثرگذار در زمینه پرندگان مهاجر مازندران ساخت. او نخستین پژوهشگری بود که در ایران کار پژوهشی روی درنا‌ها را آغاز کرد.
