مرکز و کتابخانه مطالعات اسلامی به زبان‌های اروپایی: خوش‌نویسی عربی، که شاید نمونه‌اش را بر لوگوی برندهایی چون شبکه‌ی الجزیره دیده باشید، هنری است دیرینه با پیشینه‌ای غنی و ماجرایی. خوش‌نویسی که با خطوط پیوسته و منحنی‌اش شناخته می‌شود و اغلب با مرکب‌های رنگی بر کاغذ یا مقوای ضخیم جاری می‌شود، از اجزای مهم میراث فرهنگی خاورمیانه است و شاگردان، سالیان دراز در محضر اساتید زانو می‌زنند تا رموز این فن گران‌ارج را بیاموزند. این هنر در آغاز بر پوست، چرم و چوب اجرا می‌شد و یکی از دلایل ظهور آن، پاسداری و نگاهبانی از کلامی چون قرآن بود. اعتقاد بر این است که خط خوش، تجلی هماهنگی و زیبایی کلام شفاهی است و از این رو اغلب برای انتقال شعر یا قطعات پرمغز نیز استفاده می‌شود.

Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so.
