В День памяти святой блаженной Ксении Петербургской митрополит Санкт-Петербургский и Ладожский Варсонофий возглавил праздничное богослужение в храме Смоленской иконы Божией Матери на Васильевском острове.

Ксения Петербургская занимает особое место в сердцах жителей нашего города. Не иссякает поток людей к её часовне, куда ежедневно приходят с молитвой о помощи и благодарностью.

В День памяти Ксении Петербургской с раннего утра и допоздна петербуржцы несут ей цветы. Она – символ Петербурга, его духовная покровительница и защитница.

Её пример учит нас всех, что настоящая сила не в богатстве или власти, а в доброте, самопожертвовании, милосердии и готовности прийти на помощь ближнему.
