Замахнулись мы в этом году на новый формат просветительской работы — лекторий. Честно скажем — были сомнения, пойдут ли люди в зоопарк слушать других людей.🤔

Две первых лекции показали: пойдут! На встрече про янтарь было больше 100 человек, а вчера послушать про шишки пришли более шестидесяти!

Уже есть планы на февраль. Наши партнёры — научно-просветительский проект Milmax Science, который весьма успешно продвигает научпоп в Казани. Так что, следите за нашими анонсами: мы постараемся, чтобы было интересно, полезно и познавательно!

And indeed, volatility has been a hallmark of the market environment so far in 2022, with the S&P 500 still down more than 10% for the year-to-date after first sliding into a correction last month. The CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, has held at a lofty level of more than 30. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. Lastly, the web previews of t.me links have been given a new look, adding chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-features Telegram Web client. The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers.
