Батюшка архимандрит Венедикт очень любил лошадей. Каждый день в одно и то же время он приезжал на подсобное хозяйство обители покормить лошадок. Некоторым из них пел песни прямо в ноздрю. Лошади отвечали батюшке такой же любовью. Помню, когда меня благословили пофотрафировать животных на подсобном хозяйстве, братия поведали, что всем новорожденным телятам и жеребятам отец Венедикт лично давал имена. Большого сердца был человек.
