Отставка, якобы, должна будет произойти до выборов в Народный хурал республики и связана с преклонным возрастом Цыренова.
Претендентами на его пост местные паблики называют руководителя группы помощников главы Бурятии Алдара Гулгенова и заместителя мэра Улан-Удэ Николая Намсараева.
Именно руководитель администрации отвечает за внутриполитический блок и ответственнен за избирательную кампанию в Народный Хурал.
