Британская Shell сегодня выпустила прогноз по рынку сжиженного природного газа на ближайшие годы. Выбрали главное:
• К 2040 году мировой спрос на СПГ достигнет 700 млн тонн, при этом предложение еле-еле дойдет до 500 млн.
• Потребление СПГ в ЕС за год выросло на 45 млн тонн, плюс 60% относительно 2021 года. В основном рост произошел за счет снижения потребности в природном газе.
• В топе экспортеров Австралия, Катар и США, Россия занимает только четвертое место.
• Неочевидный пока драйвер рынка – КНР, которая в прошлом году снижала закупки из-за карантина. Большая часть поставок в Китай идет из США и Австралии, но закупки в последних, вероятно, будут снижаться в пользу все того же Катара.

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop. Markets have been expecting heavy restrictions on Russian oil, some of which the U.S. has already imposed, and that would reduce the global supply and bring about even more burdensome inflation.
