Avanesyan, ranked 44th in the world, was scheduled to face 36th-ranked Amanda Anisimova in the quarterfinals. However, Anisimova withdrew from the match due to illness.
The tournament's press service confirmed that Anisimova, representing the United States, was unable to participate in the competition due to health problems.

The 22-year-old Avanesyan will now face McCartney Kessler from the USA in the semifinals.
