Следственным комитетом и ФСБ России во взаимодействии с МВД России и Росгвардией пресечена деятельность организованной преступной группы, совершившей 12 января 2019 года нападение, а 2 ноября текущего года - убийство начальника Центра по борьбе с экстремизмом МВД России по Республике Ингушетия Ибрагима Эльджаркиева.
6 декабря в Москве и Республике Ингушетия проведена спецоперация, по результатам которой задержан руководитель организованной преступной группы Хасан Полонкоев и пятеро участников.
В настоящее время продолжается розыск других лиц, причастных к нападению.
