Самолет PSA Airlines, выполнявший рейс из Уичито, столкнулся с военным вертолетом Black Hawk при посадке в аэропорту Рейгана и рухнул в реку Потомак. На борту было 64 человека, в вертолете — трое военных.

По данным CBS News, обнаружены тела 18 погибших, выживших пока нет. Температура воды — 1–2 °C, что снижает шансы на спасение. Версия теракта не рассматривается (NBC News). Обломки находятся в воде, поисковая операция продолжается.
